What to check before you order

• Match the adhesive to the floor covering: carpet, sheet vinyl, LVT, wood and ceramic all call for different products.
• Check the subfloor. Absorbent screeds usually need priming first; non-absorbent and damp subfloors may need a DPM before any adhesive goes down.
• Read the coverage figure on the product page — it is quoted per tub and varies with trowel notch and subfloor porosity.
• Allow for open and working times if you are fitting a large area or working in a warm building.
• Confirm the tub size you are ordering. Where a range is sold in more than one size, the size is shown in the product title and on the option selector.

Which adhesive do I need for LVT?

Glue-down LVT is normally fixed with a pressure-sensitive or acrylic adhesive suited to resilient floor coverings. Always check the flooring manufacturer's own recommendation on the product datasheet, because some LVT ranges specify a particular adhesive type for warranty purposes.

Do I need to prime before adhesive?

Most absorbent subfloors — sand/cement screed, smoothing compound, plywood — are primed so the adhesive does not dry out too quickly. Non-absorbent surfaces such as power-floated concrete or old adhesive residue have their own primer requirements. The primer to use is stated on each adhesive's datasheet.

How much adhesive will I need?

Coverage depends on the trowel notch and the subfloor. Each product page shows the coverage quoted by the manufacturer for that tub size. If you tell us the area and the floor covering, we can work the quantity out with you on the phone.
